This mouth-blown vase beautifully combines designer pieces and the traditional art of glassblowing. The vase is created by the glassmaker blowing the molten quartz sand directly onto the teak root with his glassmaker's whistle. As a result, vase and root merge into a unique table sculpture, because each vase only fits its root, which also serves as a stand for the finished vase.

Each vase is unique. Burn marks on the root are a sign of the marriage of vase and root and are inevitably caused by the glass being over 1000 °C hot.
